About the Role

As a Deckhand, you’ll be at the frontline of our marine operations, working closely with the vessel Master and crew to ensure smooth, safe and efficient journeys. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with berthing, mooring and unmooring vessels.

• Supporting passenger embarkation and disembarkation

• Operating deck equipment safely and efficiently.

• Participating in safety drills and responding during emergencies.

• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the vessel.

• Assisting with stock control, waste management and restocking supplies.

• Reporting any maintenance issues or defects using company systems.

• Supporting the Master and crew in implementing the Safety Management System.

• Providing exceptional customer service to all passengers.

• Assisting with food & beverage service on charter and event cruises.

• Upholding SeaLink’s standards, policies and values at all times.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – one day you might be helping a commuter start their day on the harbour, the next you could be serving drinks on a sunset charter cruise.

About You

You’re a safety-focused and reliable team player who thrives in dynamic environments. You enjoy working with people and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service. Most importantly, you bring a positive attitude, adaptability, and pride in representing SeaLink Sydney every day.

You hold (or are working towards) the necessary maritime and hospitality qualifications, including First Aid, GPH, RSA and WWCC.
