Train as a Marine Mechanic

About the Role

We are looking for a committed and passionate applicant to be offered a full time Marine Mechanic Apprenticeship. You will receive ongoing mentoring and learning on-the-job, while acquiring and applying the skills and knowledge to successfully complete a 'Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology'.

This role will include both onboard and land-based work.  You will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance of the companies vessels and infrastructure.

You will be required to:

• Carry out servicing & general mechanical repairs on a wide range of vessels
• Learn how to diagnose, problem solve & rectify all types of marine engineering problems.
• Continue to be up-to-date with current technology
• Gain a Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology 

About You

• Willingness to commit to work and study
• Demonstrate an aptitude for and interest in mechanical work
• Demonstrate your ability to provide high quality work at all times
• A committed team player able to meet deadlines & work to schedules
• Flexible with hours and who loves to be part of a dynamic team working to deadlines 
• Current driver's licence
• Previous mechanical work experience (preferred but not essential)
• Undertake a nationally recognised and accredited qualification
