Join an award winning ASX-listed tourism and transport company Train as a Marine Mechanic Based in Cleveland, QLD About the Role We are looking for a committed and passionate applicant to be offered a full time Marine Mechanic Apprenticeship. You will receive ongoing mentoring and learning on-the-job, while acquiring and applying the skills and knowledge to successfully complete a 'Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology'. This role will include both onboard and land-based work. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance of the companies vessels and infrastructure. You will be required to: - Carry out servicing & general mechanical repairs on a wide range of vessels
- Learn how to diagnose, problem solve & rectify all types of marine engineering problems.
- Continue to be up-to-date with current technology
- Gain a Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology
About You - Willingness to commit to work and study
- Demonstrate an aptitude for and interest in mechanical work
- Demonstrate your ability to provide high quality work at all times
- A committed team player able to meet deadlines & work to schedules
- Flexible with hours and who loves to be part of a dynamic team working to deadlines
- Current driver's licence
- Previous mechanical work experience (preferred but not essential)
- Undertake a nationally recognised and accredited qualification
