Join an award-winning tourism and transport company ASX Listed with over 12,000+ employees globally About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Country Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all depots in Transit Systems NZ. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the day-to-day activities in all the regions, the Country Manager will ensure all depot operations comply with the terms of our contract with local authorities and other stakeholders, and will drive business development to exceed commercial targets. Duties Lead business development and tender activities, including identifying new opportunities, overseeing operational tender inputs, and securing new contract. Develop and implement business development strategies aligned to growth objectives, informed by market, industry, and competitor analysis. Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, industry partners, and unions. Oversee the delivery of contracted bus services, ensuring operational performance, asset management, and service delivery meet contractual, legislative, and customer expectations. Direct and support management teams to ensure effective resourcing, capability development, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, HSEQ, industrial relations, and safety requirements, while driving continuous improvement and a strong safety and customer-focused culture.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary Qualifications in a Business-related discipline (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Leadership Business role.
- Experience in the operation of bus services.
- Knowledge of administrative and contractual requirements of NZ Transport Authorities (AT, GWRC, etc.).
- Understanding and application of HSEQ, Quality Assurance, and Asset Management principals and requirements.
