Head Gardener
Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari (Fraser Island)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Head Gardener to join our maintenance team at Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'gari.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role will be required to manage and maintain the gardens, wetlands, nursery, and pools within and around the resort to ensure a high standard of environmental sustainability, aesthetics, and guest satisfaction.

 

The role is a 'live off' position requiring you to commute between River Heads and Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari, Monday to Friday, peak seasonal period availability is required. A salaried fulltime position, available for an immediate start.

 

Our ideal candidate is already living locally, available now, is hands-on and physically fit, a team player, well-presented and enjoys working outdoors. Brining a positive 'can-do' attitude and ability to carry out work with minimal supervision.

 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or horticultural is a must, preferably in a similar industry
  • Experience in leading a team within a landscaping or maintenance environment.
  • Previous experience with pool maintenance and water quality management.
  • Certificate III or higher in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field (preferred)
  • Pool operator certification or experience in pool maintenance (highly regarded)
  • Chemical handling certification (preferred)
  • Forklift License (desirable)
