*Conditions and employment duration may apply About the Role Join the team at Kingfisher Bay Resort on stunning K’gari (Fraser Island)! We’re looking for a hands-on Grounds & Maintenance All-Rounder to help keep our island resort looking its best! Maintain resort gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to a high standard Perform daily gardening, mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilising and irrigation Support sustainable landscaping and water-efficient practices Assist with replanting, mulching, and nursery propagation Conduct daily pool testing and maintain safe water chemistry Clean and inspect pools, filtration, and pump systems; report faults Sewerage Treatment Plant operations/monitoring (approx. 2 days per week) Record water quality data and support preventative maintenance of systems Ensure all environmental and regulatory compliance is met Support general maintenance tasks and assist trades as required Oversee waste removal and maintain tidy yard areas
To be successful in this role you will need to be hands on and physically fit, a team player with positive 'can do' attitude, well-presented and enjoy working outdoors. Previous experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, pool and water treatment, preferably in a similar industry will be highly regarded. Permanent part-time position, this is a live-off island position - staff are required to travel by barge from River Heads to Kingfisher Bay Resort, Monday to Friday with availability during peaks seasons. Skills, Qualifications & Experience - Previous experience in a similar role
- A valid open driver's licence (including manual vehicles)
- Chainsaw ticket (desirable)
- Certificate in Horticulture (desirable)
- Water Treatment Experience
