About the Role
Located in the heart of Airlie Beach, SeaLink Whitsundays is a division of SeaLink Marine and Tourism - Australia's largest Marine and Tourism company, incorporating Red Cat Adventures and Whitsunday Jet skis.
The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role for the division in ensuring efficient daily operations, compliance and communication flow. Working closely with the leadership team to implement initiatives that drive efficiencies and engagement to maintain our position as an award-winning industry leader.
Providing proactive support to the operational leadership team this role will be responsible for the efficient administration of but not limited to
Rostering and workforce coordination - Weekly rosters, changes and timesheet compliance and onboarding.
Training and compliance records - Maintaining training/qualification records and bookings
Compliance and permits - GBRMPA permits, licensing approvals and renewals
Purchasing and inventory - Operational requirements- Uniforms, snorkeling equipment and consumables
Building effective relationships with the ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of both the leadership team and crew will ensure the success of this role.
This is a fast paced, dynamic and innovative division operating tours 364 days of the year. The agility of this role is essential to its success. Set rostered days will apply
About You
You are passionate and experienced in marine operations (preferably with local knowledge) enthusiastic about the quality of our products and creating exceptional guest experiences in Adventure Tourism with an amazing crew. Required skills:
Organizational: The ability to manage multiple responsibilities to meet required deadlines efficiently and effectively
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with managers, crew. and stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills: Proven capability to anticipate issues, identify solutions, and independently resolve problems.
Agility - To adapt to operational changes with innovative solutions to achieve the optimum outcome for both guests and the division
Customer Service: A focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience each time
Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with training, onboarding or recruitment platforms and familiar with online communication tools.
Essential
Min 2 years' experience in a complex administrative role.
Experience in Marine Operations
Previous experience with training, recruitment, workforce coordination or similar
Current driver's license
