About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Support Officer to join our team under a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the effective delivery of core finance operations across the business. You will assist with transactional processing, reconciliations, and reporting, helping to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuing across finance functions. Working in a collaborative environment, the Accounts Support Officer also contributes to strong financial controls, timely stakeholder support, and continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
Duties
As the Accounts Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in our organisation by:
Support end-to-end accounts payable processing, including invoice entry, purchase order matching, payment processing, reconciliations, and supplier maintenance.
Assist payroll and accounts receivable functions, providing support during peak periods and staff absences.
Process staff reimbursements, credit notes, and ad-hoc payments in line with internal controls and approval frameworks.
Prepare reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
Respond to internal and external accounts enquiries and liaise with operational teams, including the Workshop, to resolve billing or payment issues.
Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of finance procedures, controls, systems and processes, while supporting ad-hoc tasks as required.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Relevant experience in a finance or payroll-related role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in accurate data entry and document control, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work autonomously, within a team environment, and under direction.
