The Opportunity

Kingfisher Bay Resort and its natural surrounds provides the ideal location for special celebrations, conferences and educational groups who are seeking a destination with a difference. 

 

Bring your experience in event co-ordination to transform K'gari's unique wilderness into bespoke itineraries where guests can banquet under the stars, swim in fabulous Lake McKenzie, sail into the sunset on a champagne cruise or enjoy a bush tucker barbeque around a beachside campfire. 

 

Based at the resort, this is an opportunity to live and work on the world's largest sand island. You’ll be involved in a diverse scope of events from weddings, social groups, conferences and incentives plus a range of educational school groups.

Skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

  • Hold experience in a similar wedding & events coordination role
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create rapport with clients
  • Proficiency in general administration tasks and invoicing
  • Strong collaboration skills within a large hotel/resort environment
  • Passionate about events, hospitality and tourism
  • Qualification in Events Management (highly regarded)
  • Hold a valid QLD RSA (or the ability to obtain)
  • Hold a valid QLD Driver's Licence
