Join an Australian Owned Multi-National Transport Company Business Development Manager (Transit Systems Victoria Pty Ltd) About the Role
As Transit System's Business Development Manager, you will drive company growth through client retention, business development, leadership, and marketing. Fostering client relationships and identifying new and exciting growth opportunities. Additionally, you will oversee and support the develop of strategic plans, lead the bookings team, align sales with company goals, and ensure compliance while representing the company's C.O.M.P.A.S.S values. Key Responsibilities - Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the education and resources sectors, developing and executing a strategic sales and growth plan
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively managing risk and identifying opportunities to grow within the existing base
- Lead and mentor the bookings team, implementing KPIs and a commercial approach to quoting and conversion
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to strengthen brand visibility and support cross-promotion across Kelsian's business units
- Represent Kelsian at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to the Head of Service Delivery & Contract Performance
- Collaborate with internal teams across service delivery, HSEQ, finance, and people & culture to align business development with company objectives
About you - Proven experience in a BDM, sales, or account management role, ideally in transport, logistics, or the education/resources sectors
- A track record of hitting (and exceeding) targets and growing revenue
- Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A genuine ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline are well-regarded, though not essential
