SeaLink SEQ is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic HSE Assistant to join our team. You’ll be supported by experienced leaders and gain exposure to a wide range of safety and compliance activities across our operations. About the Role As our HSE Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping maintain a safe and compliant workplace. You’ll work closely with experienced leaders, crew, and stakeholders to learn and contribute to the implementation of our Safety Management Systems. What You’ll Do - Support the maintenance and improvement of HSE Safety Management Systems
- Promote a safe working environment and assist with risk management processes
- Help conduct incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions
- Participate in site visits, inspections, risk assessments, and audits
- Assist with monitoring training needs and emergency preparedness drills
- Stay informed on WHS, Environmental, and Marine legislation
- Help administer the online safety management system
- Be an active member of the HSE Committee and contribute to safety initiatives
About You We’re looking for someone who: - Has experience with HSE practices - whether through administration, coordination, internships, or entry-level roles
- Recently completed a Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (preferred but not essential)
- Is organised, detail oriented and confident working with teams
- Communicates clearly - both in writing and in person
- Is eager to learn and grow in the HSE field
- Has training in Incident Investigation (preferred but not essential)
- Is familiar with WHS and Environmental legislation (Marine Knowledge is a bonus!)
