The Opportunity
This generalist role is instrumental in effectively supporting the operation and the P&C team with human resources related matters with a focus on selection and recruitment of new team members across the SeaLink - K'gari Group.
The role will require providing a successful high-volume end to end recruitment process ensuring a high level of ‘best fit’ is achieved.
This is a permanent full-time salaried role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday on the island. It involves a 45-minute commute on the barge from River Heads to Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Key Role Requirements
- Generalist HR activity across a range of platforms.
- Coordinate all recruitment advertising, screening, shortlisting, phone screens, selection criteria, interviewing, reference checking and visa (VEVO) checks.
- Preparation & checking of employment contracts.
- Manage job vacancies across the group in coordination with the P&C Manager ensuring each vacancy is in line with the Organisational and Departmental Chart as well as the budgetary needs of the business.
- Coordinate the arrival on new team members.
- Processing of unsuccessful applicants as necessary.
- Assisting team members with general payroll and People & Culture enquiries.
- Assisting team members with uniforms – ordering & issuance.
- Maintenance of personnel files.
- Providing payroll administration and collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively
- Any other duties or projects as required.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or hospitality (desirable) or demonstrable experience is a similar role.
- Would suit someone currently working in an administrative human resource role looking for the next step in their career.
- Proven track record in high volume end-to-end hospitality recruitment, with a preference in the Hospitality / Resort / Tourism sector.
- Proficiency in modern recruitment platforms – Expr3ss, HROnboard, Dayforce (Desirable but not essential).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Can do attitude, and problem solver.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
