Reservation Specialist - Full Time

About The Role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Reservation Specialist to join our team in this newly created role.

 

As the Reservation Specialist you will provide support to the R&CS Manager by effectively

leading, developing and managing the Reservation and Customer Service team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Reservation Team Leaders and the Reservation Team to deliver against identified objectives
  • Ensure offices are appropriately rostered, including on call arrangements and approval of rosters
  • Work closely with Coordinators to provide business continuity & support during busy periods and leave coverage 
  • Create and maintain consultant handbooks, training manuals, guidance notices and procedure documentation
  • Assist with back of house QuickTravel, including creating services, discount fares and price loading
  • Ensure induction of new Reservation Consultants is implemented and at a competent level in line with key performance measures and reservation procedures
  • Complete demand forecasting functions and price recommendations
  • Conduct EOM financial reporting and review & action reports
  • Ensure customer service is at the forefront of all customer interactions.

As the business operates 365 days a year, flexibility and availability is essential to ensure that the reservation operations are performing at a high level. This position is on a rotational roster that includes weekends and public holidays.

 

About You

 

You will have previous experience working in a senior customer service focused leadership

position, requiring a high level of people skills aligned to our Values.

 

You will be a positive, calm, empathic and motivated individual with a focus on supporting the reservations team to provide excellent customer service while managing and overseeing the daily operations of the reservations and customer service department. 

 

A strong knowledge of working within the travel and tourism industry will be favorable to

ensure your ongoing success.

 

Ability to work across a 365 day operation, including weekends and public holidays.

 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior demonstratable experience in sales and customer service leadership, preferably in the hospitality and tourism industry
  • Effective leadership skills to empower and enable a team to deliver against identified KPIs
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Experienced in the preparation, planning and management of rosters, company reports and financials
  • Advanced computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of local area including North Stradbroke Island and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands desirable
