Accommodating a maximum of 120 guests and operating 3, 4 and 7 night cruises on the Murray River from Mannum, 87 kilometres from Adelaide, this stunning vessel attracts guests from all over Australia and the world. About the role The primary function of the General Hand role is the safe loading and loading of stores and rubbish. The General Hand is responsible for the transportation of goods on and off the vessel, removal of rubbish, assisting with vessel mooring, and disembarkation of guests. The General hand may be required to transfer stores to the vessel and assist with the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and presentation of the external areas of the vessel, wharf, car park, and office. Working in close conjunction with all crew, duties will include: - Assist the crew with guest disembarkation
- Assist with the transfer of luggage from the vessel
- Pickup and delivery of equipment, stores, and consumables for the vessel, office, and mooring locations
- Transfer and stocking of stores on the vessel
- General maintenance and cleaning of wharf area, store room, and office building
- Removal of rubbish from the vessel
- Participate in formal and informal training, as required
- Liaise with the Office Manager pre ship arrival into Mannum for operational instructions
