The opportunity

Nestled along the western bay of K’gari (Fraser Island) is Kingfisher Bay Resort, the island’s premiere 4 star eco-resort and winner of TripAdvisor’s 2022 Traveller’s Choice Award.

Bring your exceptional hospitality skills and recent experience in al-la-carte service, high-volume functions, barista or wine/cocktail knowledge to an industry-leading venue.

Join a vibrant and high-performing Food and Beverage team, in a diverse role working up to 76 hours a fortnight and receive ongoing training and genuine career progression.

 

Living on the island 

Escape the hustle of city-life and enjoy low living expenses! Only $100 per fortnight for accommodation (no shared bedrooms) in our staff village plus three staff meals every day. 

 

In your free time

  • Explore majestic rainforest canopies and swim in crystal clear freshwater inland lakes. 
  • Book a segway, kayaking or eco-marine tour and spot turtles, dolphins and whales.
  • Go 4WD'ing along the famous 75-mile beach and enjoy the coast's prime fishing locations.

About you

  • Passionate about the hospitality industry
  • Committed to delivering brilliant customer experiences
  • The ability to relocate and live in the staff accommodation 
  • Hold the right to live and work in Australia 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous work experience in a similar role
  • Valid Queensland RSA
  • Wine and cocktail knowledge (desired)
  • Demonstrated barista experience (desired)
  • Valid Food Handling Certificate (or the ability to obtain)
