About The Role

 

Your role will expose you to a broad range of legal issues including acquisitions, tenders, contracts, commercial, property, industrial relations/employment and litigation/dispute resolution matters.

 

You will give yourself a strong platform to secure this role by demonstrating that you have:

  • A sound, working knowledge of a broad range of legal matters (a generalist) and experience in their interpretation and practical application.
  • A proven ability to understand and interpret industrial instruments, legislative obligations, contracts of employment, company policies and associated documents.
  • Experience in managing a range of jurisdictions litigation or dispute resolution matters.
  • Exposure to advice work on contract, commercial, property and general business matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships quickly and confidently across different business units and people from a range of different backgrounds.
  • Provide a first point of contact for group entities and response to a broad range of legal enquiries
  • The ability to work as part of a small team under limited supervision to achieve deadlines and milestones.
  • The ability to handle a high volume of work and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong legal research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate level of competency in the MS suite i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.

You will enhance your prospects further if you:

  • Have at least 5 years proven legal experience (either in-house, or in a law firm);
  • Demonstrate experience in the delivery of timely and business focused advice, direction, and services;
  • Display Confidence - an engaging approach and a natural ability to communicate; and
  • Are resilient with the ability to work in a complex and changing environment.
