About the role


The primary function of the Head Waiter is the provision and supervision of excellence in guest service through efficient, safe and hygienic practices.

Your role is to operationally run the front of house team and to be responsible for all aspects of food and beverage service including set up of the function room and vessels, food and beverage delivery, knowledge and onboard sales of cruise products.  Greeting and seating the guests and looking after their needs.


Your duties will include:

  • Continually motivate others by creating an enjoyable, engaging, and progressive work environment
  • Effectively manage time and prioritise tasks and understand sequence of service
  • Greeting and seating our customers and looking after their needs
  • Operational running the front of house team 
  • Have excellent knowledge of our cruise products and have the flair and ability to champion those and make onboard sales

What we are looking for:

  • Vibrant and outgoing personality
  • Gift of the gab
  • Ideally a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Customer focused and passion to create an exceptional customer dining experience
  • Demonstrate an advanced leadership approach and goal driven
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be reliable and have flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights, and public holidays
  • Full availability from October to end March

What is required:

  • A current Approved Managers Certificate
  • AHA COVID-19 hygiene Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Valid WA Drivers Licence
