SeaLink (Captain Cook Cruises) operates a modern fleet of vessels on Sydney Harbour and is Australia's leading and most experienced operator.


We are looking for Culinary team members(Cooks Grade 3-5 level) to join our vibrant team in delivering quality food service on one of Australia's premium Tourism and Event businesses. 


You will be working on one of our renowned Sydney Harbour vessels including The Jackson and Sydney 2000.


We have casual positions available which can be converted to permanent based on skill and willingness to come onboard with our team.


About You


To be successful you must:

  • Be Customer Service driven
  • Posses guest service experience
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be a team player with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Possess effective problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate initiative
  • Be self-motivated, achievement and results driven
  • Take pride in your appearance and of the environment you work
  • Be available to work on weekends, public holidays and nights 
  • Be able to work within a fast paced team
  • Experience in the Tourism and or Hospitality Industry 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year hotel, restaurant or cruise ship experience - (Essential)
  • Commercial Cookery Certification
  • Hygiene Certification
  • Food Safety Certificate (Essential)

About the role


Working with the guidance of a Head Chef, you will provide exceptional guest experiences and ensure that all food preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and departmental policies and
Our cooks are responsible to prepare, cook and serve meals to company standards in accordance with Safe Food handling guidelines. As a cook, you will ensure that all food
service areas are kept clean and hygienic and must be thoroughly familiar with all safety equipment and how to deal with an emergency.


Overarching is the ability to deliver exceptional customer service to our guests.


As a high-profile tourism business, the successful candidates will be required to work flexible working hours when required, including days, nights, public holidays and weekends. This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling and good time management.
