About the Role

 

This role, based in Brisbane, is responsible for providing operational and technical leadership in support of our vessel fleet and will undertake a range of activities to ensure our vessels and marine infrastructure is maintained in excellent condition and are operated in accordance with the national regulatory framework and industry standards.

 

As an experienced marine surveyor with substantial experience in dockyard project management and in-situ structural repair methodologies, you will be instrumental in developing quality assurance processes for major refits, vessel modifications and providing support to new build projects.

 

Critically this role will contribute to the Business working to deliver vessels that meet the business’ objectives by undertaking audits and monitoring activities, education and improvement of maintenance and operational practices and incident investigations.

 

About You

 

You will be commercially astute, enjoy working across the broader business and be an exceptional communicator to contribute to the success of team. With a demonstrated commitment to regulatory compliance, your strong written skills allow you to present clear, detailed written technical specifications, procedures, bulletins and reports. 

 

You will also have a high levels of organisational planning skills and attention to detail.  

 

Experience in the Australian domestic maritime industry as an accredited Marine Surveyor under the National Law is required as is applying National and International standards and conventions to the domestic commercial vessel sector.

 

You will also have knowledge of naval architecture and design, including experience with quality assurance processes and production best practice.
