We will consider sponsorship for the right person. 7 days on/ 7 days off (PFT) About the Role The Second Engineers’ primary function is to assist with the safe and secure operations of Company vessels. This will include working as part of a well-established cohesive team, whilst maintaining excellence in safety and reliability at all times. You will be working in close conjunction with the Chief Engineer. This position requires interpersonal and organisational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role. Regular communication with passengers to assist in loading and unloading the ferry is required therefore a level of personal engagement is required. The Second Engineer will be expected to meet and exceed key performance indicators, whilst displaying a high level of work ethics. This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling, and time management. We also offer training opportunities for personal development and upskilling to a Class 3 ticket supported by SeaLink. About You - Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential - MED1
- Current First Aid
- Sound working knowledge of the following:
- Welding (oxy-arc-mig)
- Boiler making
- AC & DC Electrics
- Hydraulic systems
- Practical experience in shipbuilding and repair
- Working knowledge of OH&S systems and regulations
- Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate
Desirable - Trade Certificate
- Confined Space
- Working at Heights Certificate
