Are you an experienced maritime professional looking to drive some of Sydney's most iconic vessels? We're seeking experienced and service-driven Masters to join our marine crew on a casual contract. About the Role As the Master, you will hold the most senior position onboard, taking full command of your vessel and ensuring its safe, efficient, and compliant operation. You will be the key figure responsible for passenger and crew safety, operational excellence, and the delivery of unforgettable journeys through collaboration with hospitality and marine departments. Key Responsibilities include: - Command the vessel and oversee its daily operations and safe navigation
- Conduct pre-departure checks and routine tests of navigation and control systems
- Ensure all safety equipment is maintained and functional
- Supervise the boarding and disembarkation of passengers
- Lead emergency procedures and safety drills
- Mentor and manage onboard crew members
- Ensure vessel maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with environmental policies
- Liaise with Cruise Directors and shoreside teams to deliver excellent customer experience
- Complete logs, incident reports, and follow company procedures using company systems
About You You are a confident and experienced maritime leader with at least 12 months experience in driving Master <45m vessels. You take pride in ensuring safe, efficient, and professional vessel operations. Calm under pressure and proactive in your approach, you lead by example, communicate clearly, and promote a strong safety culture.
