Workshop Asset & Facilities Manager

About the Role

 

Lead our workshop and depot facilities to meet high safety and quality standards.

 

We are seeking a dynamic Workshop Asset & Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our workshop and depot facilities. This hands-on role involves managing a small team, coordinating resources, and ensuring maintenance activities meet high-quality standards. Your leadership will support our Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ) and Asset Management Systems (AMS) commitments.

 

Duties

  • Coordinate and deliver maintenance for bus and depot assets.
  • Manage resources for optimal bus and asset performance.
  • Conduct unscheduled repairs and attend breakdowns.
  • Adhere to safety standards and manage stock levels.
  • Address concerns and improve bus and depot asset planning.
  • Liaise with Managing Director on compliance issues.

About You

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
  • Minimum 'MR' class licence and passenger transport authorisation.
  • 5+ years experience in diesel mechanics with Translink QLD fleet vehicles / or similar.
  • Possess a forklift licence or ability to attain one.
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or related qualifications.
  • High commitment to customer service and ethical practice.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a 'Can Do' attitude
