About the Role
The Vessel Master plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of our vessels and their crew. The Vessel Master is responsible for navigation, crew leadership, safety drills, and management systems as well as reporting requirements. Clear communication, physical fitness, and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines are paramount in the role.
SeaLink NT is seeking a Full time Master for weekly shifts. As the positions are based in Darwin, the successful candidate will need to be based locally or prepared to relocate to Darwin.
About You
We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and proven leadership skills to join our marine crew. These attributes will be complemented by experience and skills in the following areas:
AMSA issued Master V (24m NC) /MED 2 certifications
Proven track record of excellent customer service
Effective communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of safety and maritime obligations
Senior First Aid
Drivers Licence/Ochre Card/Police Clearance
Physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines is paramount in this role
Experience in the tourism industry will be well regarded
