About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic All-Rounder to join our shore-based Fleet Maintenance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is confident stepping up to mentor other

A typical day in your may include:

• Servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a fleet of ferries, charter, and commercial vessels
• Carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance (mechanical, welding, plumbing, and general engineering tasks)
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members, sharing technical expertise and promoting best practice
• Ensuring vessels remain safe, compliant, and operational with minimal downtime
• Working independently to solve technical problems, often under pressure and to tight deadlines

About You

You’re a hands-on marine mechanic who thrives on variety and problem-solving. With a trade qualification in mechanical or marine engineering, you bring proven experience working on commercial vessels – from diesel engines and hydraulics through to electrical systems and auxiliary equipment.

You enjoy diagnosing and fixing issues, can work independently with minimal supervision, and have the confidence to step up and guide less experienced team members when needed. Safety is always front of mind for you, and you’re well-versed in WHS practices within the marine industry.
