*Conditions and employment duration may apply About the Role We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our culinary team at K'gari Beach Resort. We are looking for a Trade Qualified Chef de Partie ready to relocate to K'gari (Fraser Island), in North Queensland. You will be responsible for cooking and serving general and specialised meals for guests according to menu guidelines, recipes and direction from the Head Chef. Our restaurant - Mckenzie's on 75, operates a buffet breakfast, high-volume buffet lunch (feeding all the daily tour bus groups too) and a high quality a 'la carte experience for dinner service. The Eurong Bakery is a bustling outlet and a local favourite amongst visitors to the island. Providing bread, donuts, freshly made sandwiches and a variety of hot food throughout the day. About You We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for cooking and a drive to exceed expectations. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, committed to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of our resort. As this is a live-on position you would be required to live and work at K'gari Beach Resort in Eurong - the gateway to 75-mile beach. Skills, Qualifications & Experience - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent higher education (required)
- Food Safety Course (Essential)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Minimum 2-years in a similar role (preferred)
- The ability to work across a broad rostering system
- Advanced communication and organisational skills
- Efficient and effective time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Previous experience within multi outlet resort / hotel environment
