Junior - Recruitment Consultant

Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute break) Location: Bankstown, NSW (On-site for the first 6 months; flexible work-from-home considered after probation. The Role: As a Junior Recruitment Consultant, you will be part of a collaborative team, supporting recruitment efforts across multiple regions. You will focus on both white-collar hires and mechanics, assisting our recruiters to meet regional hiring demands, and providing administrative support to keep our processes running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities: Support recruiters with candidate sourcing, screening, and shortlisting Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining candidate records, organizing folders, and ensuring documents are saved correctly to our Rostering software. Assist with recruitment campaigns, including open days, career expos, and information sessions, speaking confidently to groups of 25+ Liaise with candidates and internal stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service Support the team in meeting regional recruitment targets and KPIs Adapt to process changes as the organisation evolves Travel between depots as needed to support recruitment initiatives
What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a recruitment agency or recruitment-focused role (at least 1 year) Own reliable transport Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Confident, professional, and comfortable speaking in front of groups Highly organised with strong administrative and documentation skills Resilient and adaptable to change in a fast-moving, transformative environment Positive, proactive, and willing to go above and beyond to support the team Reliable and punctual — we need someone we can depend on every day A high-performing mindset with a willingness to learn – you don’t need to know everything, we’ll teach you Understanding of recruitment legislation and compliance requirements (Fair Work Act, anti-discrimination laws, privacy, safety obligations) Familiarity with candidate sourcing tools and ATS/CRM systems Ability to screen, interview, and assess candidates effectively Knowledge of onboarding and employment documentation processes Experience managing reporting, KPIs, and recruitment metrics
