About the Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Sales & Reservations Consultant to join the Sealink Marine & Tourism Group team, assisting the Central Reservations & Sales Team in the facilitation and management of sales across our unique K'gari (Fraser Island) brands.

  • Responding to and managing all incoming calls, email, iHotelier and online enquiries including both direct and agent enquiries and bookings
  • Data entry into reservations systems
  • Upselling and optimising occupancy
  • Reconciliation of banking processes
  • Delegation of relevant position duties as deemed necessary by your Supervisor or Manager
  • This position reports to the Customer Service and Reservations Manager, based at the Hervey Bay Sales & Reservations Office
  • Must be available to work flexible working hours (weekends)
  • Actively support and demonstrate SeaLink’s company vision, C.O.M.P.A.S.S. values and strategic goals

Skills, Experience and requirements

  • Proven customer service and sales skills
  • Experience in a similar role within the tourism industry is well regarded
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with proven time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and direction
  • Proven ability to work to and achieve KPI targets
