Swan Transit is seeking applications for a Fixed Term Part-TimeBus Service Officer to join our team at Cannington Station.
This position will initially be offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension subject to future operational requirements.
About the Role
As a Bus Station Officer, you'll be a friendly and welcoming face for our customers, helping passengers navigate their journey while supporting the safe and efficient operation of the bus station.
This is a part-time Monday to Friday position working a split shift of approximately 6 hours per day, 30 hours a week, across the morning and afternoon peak travel periods.
6:30am - 9:00am (2.5 hours)
3:00pm - 6:30pm (3.5 hours)
The split-shift arrangement means you'll be there to support our customers during the busiest periods of the day, helping services run smoothly and ensuring passengers receive the assistance they need.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
Assisting passengers with enquiries about services, ticketing, transport connections and directions to local destinations and attractions.
Monitoring daily bus operations to ensure services run efficiently and in line with the approved timetable.
Supporting connections between Bus Services and other Transperth Services in accordance with approved timetables.
Providing support and assistance to drivers when requested.

You will have:
Your own reliable transport and a current driver's licence.
A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
The ability to assess situations and make quick and practical decisions.
The ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts professionally.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills and clear telephone manner
Excellent knowledge of Perth Metropolitan area and bus networks.
Able to obtain a Working with Children Check.
