About the Role

Kelsian Group is seeking a Systems Compliance Specialist to join the Group People & Culture Team, on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of extension.

The Systems Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and legislative compliance of payroll system data, through close collaboration with Payroll, People & Culture and industrial relations stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Ensure payroll systems data and configuration accurately reflect current Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and relevant employment legislation.
• Provide support in interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and Awards, translating requirements into payroll system rules, calculations and data models.
• Test, validate, and maintain payroll data models to ensure correct pay outcomes across all employee cohorts and scenarios.
• Support system compliance testing following EA/Award changes or configuration updates, identifying discrepancies for resolution.
• Identify compliance risks within payroll systems and recommend improvements of corrective actions to mitigate risk.
• Support audits and reviews by providing evidence of system compliance and testing outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities by identifying opportunities to streamline compliance testing, validation and monitoring processes.
  

About You

This role would suit candidates who are detail-oriented, comfortable with data, and has experiencing working with payroll systems within a complex EA and Award environment.

You will bring:

• Experience working within payroll systems and payroll compliance in a complex EA and Award environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and relevant employment legislation.
• Proven ability to interpret industrial instruments and translate requirements into system rules and/or data models.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify data discrepancies, compliance risks, and root causes.
• Ability to clearly document compliance interpretations, system rules, and testing outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex compliance matters to non-technical audiences.
