We're looking for an analytical and forward-thinking Network Planner to join our Service Planning team. In this role, you'll use data, technology, and operational insights to design and optimise bus services that meet customer demand while supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.

If you're passionate about transport planning, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to make a real impact on how people travel across NSW, we'd love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining bus network plans, service timetables, and operational schedules
  • Planning and maintaining dedicated school bus services and associated network data
  • Analysing patronage, running times, on-time performance, GPS data, and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Supporting route design, service frequency reviews, and network optimisation initiatives
  • Using planning software and modelling tools to assess service scenarios and recommend improvements
  • Monitoring network performance and recommending timetable and service adjustments
  • Supporting planning for major events, disruptions, and seasonal service changes
  • Preparing reports, dashboards, and recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with Operations, Depot teams, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop practical service solutions
  • Maintaining accurate planning documentation, network data, and service records
  • Supporting compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements

This is an exciting opportunity to influence how public transport services are planned and delivered across one of Australia's largest bus networks.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse real-world operational data to improve customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with experienced planners, schedulers, and operational leaders
  • Build your expertise using industry-leading planning and analytical tools
  • Contribute to sustainable and innovative transport solutions that benefit thousands of passengers every day
