Marine Operations Administrator

 

About the Role

SeaLink WA is seeking a Marine Operations Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our Marine Operations team in WA.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our marine services.

 

This role provides administrative support across marine operations, training, and compliance functions. You will assist with maintaining operational records, coordinating crew administration, supporting compliance requirements, and ensuring operational information is communicated effectively across the business.

 

Marine industry experience is desirable but not essential.

 

This role is offered on a part time or casual basis. 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinating crew rosters, shifts, and leave planning.
  • Supporting vessel logistics, maintenance scheduling, and compliance record-keeping.
  • Assisting with crew onboarding, inductions, and training database management.
  • Acting as the main communications point between vessels and shore teams.
  • Managing operational platforms (Deputy, MEX, Blink, Go1, SMS Global).
  • Helping with charters, passenger number reporting, and timetable updates.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Marine Operations Manager and team.

 

About You

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused.
  • Experience with Deputy, rostering systems, and SharePoint will be highly regarded.
  • A team player who can also work independently and use initiative.
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional after-hours support.
  • An interest in the marine industry is desirable.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Experience maintaining records and documentation.
  • Current Driver License.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Experience in marine, transport, tourism, logistics, or other operational environments.
  • Experience with workforce management, rostering, and employee communication systems (such as Deputy and BLINK).
