About the role
Working across Red Cat Adventures, Whitsunday Jetski Tours and SeaLink Whitsundays, you’ll play an important role in driving awareness, engagement and bookings across our brands and experiences in the Whitsundays.
This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who loves tourism, marketing, content, and people. You’ll work closely with our Sales, Reservations and Operations teams to identify opportunities, create engaging campaigns and content, build strong local partnerships, and ultimately help more guests experience our products.
No two days will be the same. One day you could be out on the water capturing content; the next, coordinating a campaign, attending an industry event, updating the website, or working with a local business on a new partnership.
Your role will include:
Managing our social media platforms and content calendar, including reels, stories, videos, imagery and promotional content
Regularly joining our tours and experiences to capture authentic, high-quality content.
Developing and coordinating marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness, engagement and bookings
Identifying new sales and marketing opportunities, particularly during quieter periods Maintaining and updating website content, imagery, offers and product information.
Supporting email marketing, databases and other direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives
Coordinating brochures, signage, promotional material and other brand collateral Building relationships with local tourism operators, accommodation providers, agents and businesses
Identifying and coordinating cross-promotional opportunities and partnerships that align with our brands
Representing Red Cat Adventures and SeaLink Whitsundays at networking events, industry functions, trade events and community initiatives Supporting the Sales and Reservations teams with campaigns, promotions and tactical offers
Working with the wider team to identify opportunities to improve conversion and drive additional bookings
Monitoring guest reviews and online brand presence and identifying opportunities to showcase positive guest experiences
Tracking and reporting on social media, campaign and marketing performance Monitoring competitor activity and tourism trends to identify new ideas and opportunities
Ensuring our brands are represented consistently and professionally across all marketing channels
Bringing fresh ideas to the table and proactively looking for new ways to promote our experiences and grow the business
About you
We’re looking for someone creative, energetic, organised, and genuinely passionate about tourism and guest experience.
You’ll be someone who can capture what makes an incredible day in the Whitsundays special and turn it into content and campaigns that make people want to book.
You’ll be confident, proactive and comfortable building relationships, representing our brands in the community and working across different areas of the business.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes initiative, brings ideas to the table and gets things done.
Skills and Experience
Strong administration and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident using social media platforms, scheduling content and monitoring performance
Strong content creation skills with an eye for what makes engaging social and digital content
Experience using Canva or similar content creation platforms
Photography, videography or social media content creation experience
Professional and confident representing the business with industry partners and within the community
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
Comfortable using AI and embracing technology to improve efficiency, creativity and productivity
A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved across all areas of the role
Desirable
Previous experience in tourism, marketing, sales or a similar role
Website or CMS management experience
Experience with email marketing and customer databases
Understanding of digital marketing, paid social and online advertising.
Experience interpreting marketing and social media analytics
Existing connections within the Whitsunday tourism community
Experience coordinating events, promotions, famils or community initiatives Basic Graphic design experience
Current driver's license
